THE PRAYER FLAG PROJECT

Watch Lynda’s News On 6 Segment: Prayer Flag Project Aims To Connect Community Through Art

2025

Over four different Saturdays through the summer of 2025, over 50 participants gathered to make prayer flags and share blessings.  Each person made two flags — one to keep and one to donate. The donated flags were gifted to local organizations chosen by each group, spreading beauty and care into the wider world.  Donations in 2025 went to All Souls Unitarian Church, El Centro, Women in Recovery, and Prairie’s End.

Shela Tarwater, Dawn Martin, and Lisa Brown showed up each time to support the project and the participants.  I have so much gratitude for the ways they contributed; it helped make this project possible on a larger scale.
